Environmental Markets professional with over 3 years of experience. Rory started his career at CBL, the world’s leading carbon exchange, where he was an integral part of the international carbon team.
In 2021, Rory moved from the CBL exchange team to join CFS alongside Nick and Vincent. He has worked with market participants across the entire spectrum including project developers, brokers, intermediaries, traders, hedge funds, banks and corporates.
Scott Hernandez is Managing Director of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) for Xpansiv’s Carbon Financial Services (CFS), where he oversees the origination, trading and advisory of voluntary carbon, renewable energy and low carbon fuels. Prior to CFS, Scott led the commercial growth of CBL’s North American environmental product suite, including voluntary carbon offsets, compliance emissions spot contracts for California Carbon Allowances (CCAs), Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI) allowances, and over 150 contracts for Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs). In 2020 Scott relocated to London to lead commercial expansion for CBL in the EMEA market, supporting the development and launch of the GEO and NGEO standardized contracts for CORSIA and nature-based carbon offsets. Upon transitioning to CFS, Scott increasingly works with large corporate buyers and aviation clients to build offset tailored offset portfolios designed to meet desired integrity metrics and substantiate low carbon and net zero claims.
